Nottz featuring Mayer Hawthorne

I've been a huge fan of Mayer Hawthorne ever since he dropped "Just Ain't Gonna Work Out" on a heart shaped 7" back in 2008. He also released one of the best albums of 2009, "A Strange Arrangement".

He's got a new track out with Nottz, which I've been playing a lot lately. It's called "I Still Love You".

Gizelle Smith

A friend of mine invited me to a Gizelle Smith concert a couple of weeks back. I had never heard of her before but checked her out on spotify, and if you're into funk and soul it's definitely worth a listen. The TM Juke remix of "June" is probably her strongest track, but her album "This Is Gizelle Smith & The Mighty Mocambos" is very good as well.

Sampled

I posted a Spotify playlist with sampling tracks and the originals about a month ago at http://sharemyplaylists.com/. Within a few days i got over a hundred listeners and it was featured in their blog and on the frontpage. I've been adding to it almost daily and i'm currently at 750 tracks and 170 subscribers.

Anyway, I have been thinking about starting a blog for some time, and I'm thinking that this is a good opportunity to actually get some visitors to my blog. I guess time will tell if that actually works. I'll be blogging about new and old music, playlists on Spotify and I'll probably be posting some self produced music as well
