Megastrom cookin' it up

Through new french label Overcooked Records I got a link to the exclusive mix Megastrom did for KMAG. It's really great stuff and I think it's a bit more accessible than what I've heard from other electro DJ's. It comes as no surprise that they've won a remix contest that Sony held for Kylie Minogue's "Breathe" in the past, and they've released music on labels such as Ministry of Sound, before signing exclusively with Overcooked. Madeon - remember the name

I stumbled over the Madeon Remix of Yelle - Que Veux-Tu a month or two again and it just blew me away. Recently I heard his remix of Raise Your Weapon by Deadmau5 as well and it's really really good. According to this Q&A i found he's just 16 year old. This guy is going to be huge.

Sampled - again

I've had a lot of visitors on my blog lately, after posting my new track on Soundcloud.

New Track: On Your Feet

I've been working on a new tune for the last few months, and it's part of the reason why I haven't been very active. Anyways, I'm pretty pleased with it and it might just be my strongest tune so far. It's kinda got a roller disco vibe to it, so I stole an image from some unsuspecting blog for my youtube video. Sorry! :) Anyways, check it out. I hope you like it.

I know last years Deadmau5 album, "4x4=12", isn't exactly breaking news, but I haven't gotten around to listening to it until now. Anyway, I really enjoyed it, and especially the tracks Some Chords and Raise Your Weapon. The latter features vocals by Greta Svabo Bech who sounds a lot like Leigh Nash (from Sixpence None The Richer), especially the way she sounded on the Deep Dish Remix of Delerium's Innocente, which I had almost forgotten about.

I haven't been doing a lot of updates lately, but I got a new house playlist in the making on spotify, a follow up to my 100 House Classics playlist, as well as a new track which is kinda reminiscent of the stuff A-Trak and Armand have been doing in Duck Sauce. I'm having some days off from work, and hopefully I'll have time to finish it. I'll keep you posted (no pun intended).

I've created a new playlist on spotify, called "Songs about girls". It's basically 50 great songs where the title is a girls name, including Elvis Costello's "Alison", Dolly Parton's "Jolene" and Rick James' "Mary Jane".

100 House Classics

I haven't really had time to update my blog lately, but I do have a new playlist on spotify. It's called 100 House Classics and has 100 house classics, anthems and personal favorites. The main focus is on tracks from ca 1999-2001.
